Bog House Miscellany

The scanned in text from an old book, “Faithfully Transcribed from the Drinking-Glasses and Windows in the several noted Taverns, Inns, and other Publick Places in this Nation. Amongst which are intermixed the Lucubrations of the polite Part of the World, written upon Walls in Bog-houses, &c.”

An example:

Clarinda lay here
With a young Cavalier ;
With her Heart full of Fear,
For her Husband was near.

Note that the host site has many other scanned in books with bawdy songs, anecdotes, etc.
