Projects
Here are various projects I’ve done over the last few years, mostly when I was still in college for Computer Science. Please note that some of these have stopped working due to PHP upgrades.
- While I was interning at the University of San Diego, I wrote the University of San Diego’s 2007 Help Desk Survey which details the results of a survey I conducted of similarly sized help desks to USD’s.
- Tunnels and Trolls is a great roleplaying game by Flying Buffalo, Inc.. Here is a character generator (under construction!).
- Shadowrun is a rolepaying game by FASA. There are a group of us who play about once a week, after work. These are a collection of utilities for them.
- Lights Out is a simple game I learned from my palm pilot.
- Puzzle! This is a PHP implementation of the game where you must move the tiles, one at a time, to re-assemble the picture.
- Fun with decryption thanks to The Code Book and a little PHP.
- I was part of a group of three people who were to map and monitor Earlham’s computer network. We modified an add on called map-generator to tkined to display network information generated on one machine to a web page. We also had a small CGI addition that would seek out additional information about each computer if desired. The home page is here.
- My Senior Seminar involving coding and research about a network sniffer/monitoring device and A Non-Programmer’s Introduction to Tcl/Tk.
- A programming project which was making a 1-bit ALU out of ANDs and ORs that I picked up at Radio Shack.
- A research project on the History of Burroughs Corporation.
