The only native Australian stork is this Black-Necked Stork. This is Jabbie, the only stork of this type to have been bred in captivity. Her husband had died some weeks back and her human caretakers were still visibly upset. Apparently these storks mate for life, and she was just now starting to act like her old self from before her mate passed away.
