Hiking through Los Peñasquitos was pretty strange because it felt very similar to being in the midwest again. The creek that runs down the center of the canyon has allowed some large trees and fields to spring up around it. We hiked under shady trees, had insects jumping around us, and saw a creek with actual flowing water!
