In the beginning, there was my desk. As you look at the picture, the main thing of interest is that set of chips and wires right below the set of blue-handled pliers. This is what I'll actually be zooming in on, it is the start of my 1-bit ALU. I will eventually use both of those white circuit boards, but for now only the top one has been started. The chips match my design specs, which you can see here. Those small, orange, horizontal wires on the left power each chip, and if you look real carefully you can see the a wire on the other side of each chip running to "ground."
