New Year's Eve, 2001!
(or how we fondued and .com-Monopolied our way into the new millennium)
 | Ok, so there's not very much to say about our New Year's celebrations. A few friends and some excellent food made for a very enjoyable, if low key celebration. | |

So what did we do all night? Well, we started it off by trying out one of Emily's Christmas gifts: a fondue set! Not only did we avoid a burned apartment, or even singed cats, but we had some wonderful meat cooked to perfection, and then dipped in the selection of sauces Emily whipped earlier that afternoon. Alas, we have no photoes of the fondue. |  | |
We do have a photo of .COM Monopoly, though! We played it well past midnight, until we realized that it was going to take all night and abandoned it. Besides, The Princess Bride was over and people had to get up the next morning. While the advantages of playing on a board filled with quickly dieing companies is obvious, we were dismayed to discover that the DownLoad (Chance?) set of cards was no where to be found. Even after searching the house in a more sober state, we never did find them, which leads us to conclude that Parker Brothers ran out of venture capital funds before they could be printed.
